May 30: what holiday is today, traditions and prohibitions.

In our country, May 30 is celebrated as Steppe Day, World Asthma and Allergy Day, and also Women's Emancipation Day. It is a day to honor St. Isaac the Confessor.
Steppe Day was established in early 2017 at the initiative of participants in a scientific seminar on the protection of the steppes in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. On this day, the 90th anniversary of the 'Stone Tomb' reserve, which is a symbol of the protection of steppes in Ukraine, is also celebrated.
The main goal of World Asthma and Allergy Day is to draw attention to these issues and raise awareness of their symptoms. The Women's Emancipation Day is also remembered, which may have two different origins: from the legendary Jeanne d'Arc or events in Germany in 1932.
In the church calendar, May 30 is the day of memory of St. Isaac the Confessor, who lived in the 4th century and led an ascetic lifestyle. Prohibitions for this day include not going into the forest, not killing reptiles, and avoiding walking barefoot on the grass.
May 30 is also marked by a number of important historical events, including the execution of the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II, Napoleon's arrival in Egypt, and the declaration of war by the Ottoman Empire against the principalities of Serbia and Montenegro. Today, the name days of Vasyl and Yakov are also celebrated.
