Eggs, flour, oil: how prices for basic products differ in the market and supermarkets.


Prices for flour, oil, and eggs attract the interest of Ukrainians since these goods are staple products in many households. The portal “Hvilya” conducted a study comparing the prices of these products in the market and supermarkets in Kyiv.
At the "Stolychnyi" market, the prices are as follows: a dozen chicken eggs of category C1 costs from 34 to 36 hryvnias, the recommended price is 35 hryvnias. A kilogram of flour "Bela Tserkva" - 17.65 hryvnias. Refined oil "Oleina" (0.85 liters) - 56.15 hryvnias.
In supermarkets, prices are slightly higher: chicken eggs of category C1 cost from 38.69 to 42.90 hryvnias per dozen. Wheat flour "Khutorok" - from 25.79 to 30.80 hryvnias per kilogram. Sunflower oil "Oleina" (850 ml) - from 58.70 to 65.99 hryvnias.
Market prices are generally lower, especially for eggs and oil. However, supermarkets often have promotions and special offers that make purchases more advantageous. Supermarkets also provide quality guarantees and shopping convenience.
Earlier, the prices for potatoes in supermarkets in September and their changes throughout the month were revealed.
