How prices for popular cereals will change in December.

According to the State Statistics Service, prices for all types of cereals have gradually increased since the beginning of the year. Most positions among cereals have risen in price recently:
- Barley cereals have increased in price by 21.0% - to 18.76 UAH per kilogram
- Semolina has risen in price by 12.7% - to 23.98 UAH per kilogram
- Rice has increased in price by 7.7% - to 55.23 UAH
- Wheat cereal has risen in price by 9.6% and now costs 18.80 UAH per kilogram
- Buckwheat has increased its price by 7.3% - to 30.98 UAH per kilogram
Only millet has experienced a slight decrease in price - to 24.67 UAH per kilogram (-2.9%).
During October-November 2024, prices for barley cereals will rise by 5.5% - to 18.76 UAH per kilogram, buckwheat will increase by 4.0% - to 30.98 UAH per kilogram, semolina - by 3.2% - to 23.98 UAH per kilogram, wheat - by 3.1% - to 18.80 UAH per kilogram, rice will increase in price by 1.6% - to 55.23 UAH per kilogram.
According to forecasts from scientists at the Institute of Agrarian Economics, in December 2024 prices for cereals will continue to rise by 5-7%. By the end of the year, buckwheat may rise in price to 35-40 UAH per kilogram.
