The fighting spirit of North Korean soldiers fighting in Kursk has fallen: details from intelligence.

The participation of the North Korean army in combat operations in the Kursk region
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian army continued to involve units of the North Korean army in combat operations in the Kursk region on December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025. However, the fighting spirit of North Korean soldiers has declined.
Lower-rank commanders, who lead sections, platoons, and companies, distort information to the higher command about the actual losses among North Korean military personnel. The fighting spirit of North Korean soldiers has declined due to constant Russian army propaganda about the importance of North Korea's involvement in the war against Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
According to intelligence, units from North Korea continue to suffer significant losses. Russian commanders are replacing them with new military personnel from the North Korean army. On December 31 and January 1, North Korean soldiers were relocated to positions in the areas of Phanasievka, Ulanok, and Cherkaska Konopelka in the Kursk region.
Even on New Year's Eve, there were cases of alcohol abuse among North Korean soldiers, including those participating in combat operations.
It should be noted that thanks to the offensive actions of the 6th Special Operations Forces Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one of the settlements in the Kursk region of Russia was captured. It turned out that together with the Russian military, this settlement was also held by soldiers from North Korea.
