Djokovic sensationally lost to the world number 293 Opelka (video).


Ukrainian tennis player Novak Djokovic lost in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Brisbane to American Reilly Opelka. The match lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes, ending with a score of 6:7 (6:8), 3:6 in favor of the American. This was their first encounter.
Opelka stands out with his impressive height of 2.11 meters. He has a reputation as an excellent serve-and-volley player and often practices tie-breaks. In the match against Djokovic, Opelka managed to break in the second set. His serve was reliable - he saved 1 break point and hit 16 aces, winning 78% of points on his first serve and an incredible 87% on his second serve.
In the semifinals, Opelka will face Frenchman Giovanni Mpesi Perrikar, who is also known for his powerful serves. Interestingly, at the beginning of the tournament, Mpesi Perrikar defeated Nick Kyrgios in the third tie-break of a match, who also participated in the doubles event alongside Djokovic.
