Ukraine's Energy System on the Brink: Popenko Responds to Whether Ukrainians Should Expect Blackouts.

Head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine Oleg Popenko expressed his opinion on the situation in the country's energy system and shared his thoughts on the possibility of blackouts for Ukrainians. He shared this in his Telegram channel.
The Real State of Energy in Ukraine
According to Popenko, some experts during the Unified Marathon constantly say that a blackout will not happen and we will not be left without power. However, he noted that the actual situation is quite unstable, and Ukraine's energy sector is in a very vulnerable state.
'This morning in Mykolaiv a systemic failure occurred and a complete blackout resulted. Also, there is partially no electricity in Kherson. At the same Time, the power outages are not related to cyberattacks, but the reason is still unknown. And this is given that over the last few days high temperatures have prevailed, and if in July... - it is hard to imagine,' Popenko emphasized.
Earlier, specialists had already explained to Ukrainians how likely blackouts are in the summer.
The head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine expressed his concern about the country's energy security, emphasizing that instability in the energy system could lead to serious problems with electricity supply for Ukrainians, especially under summer heat conditions. The situation in the energy sector remains tense, and more attention is needed to the development and modernization of the system to avoid potential problems in the future.
