Representatives of Turkey's tourism business are again talking about the need to lower hotel prices and cancel the all-inclusive system. The profitability of hotels in Turkey is currently around 30%, while in competitor countries like Spain and France it stands at 15%. Accordingly, more and more tourists wishing to vacation in Turkey are forced to shorten their vacation duration or choose more economical hotels due to rising prices. However, there is already a shortage of 2 and 3 star hotels, while 4 and 5 star hotels have an oversupply. 'When large hotel complexes lower their prices, it becomes practically impossible for small hotels to survive,' explained the head of the tour operator Bentour, Kadir Ugur.In order to counter these negative trends, experts suggest revising the all-inclusive system. In particular, to introduce a limited choice of alcohol and reduce the menu, but to make dishes of higher quality. This will help hotels reduce costs while providing guests with services at a lower price. It is not surprising that this summer a record number of foreign tourists is expected to visit Turkey. The state aims to reach 65 million tourists and generate $64 billion in tourism revenue by 2025. Last year, Turkey welcomed over 62 million tourists, with revenue amounting to $61.1 billion. It is also worth noting that medical tourism in Turkey is becoming increasingly popular, especially for hair transplant procedures. The decrease in hotel profitability and rising prices may lead tourists to opt for more economical vacation options or shorten their vacation days. This could negatively impact Turkey's tourism sector, which has made significant efforts to attract foreign tourists. Experts' proposals to revise the all-inclusive system may help hotels reduce costs and maintain a competitive edge. It is also important to ensure that such changes do not affect the quality of service for guests.
