The MFA responded to Sikorski's proposal to place Crimea under UN mandate.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine rejected the proposal of the head of the Polish MFA, Radosław Sikorski, to place Crimea under a UN mandate for holding a «fair referendum». This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian MFA.
The MFA emphasized that the territorial integrity of Ukraine can never be a subject of discussion or compromise. Crimea – is a part of Ukraine. This is an undeniable fact.
The department also stressed that Ukraine is supported by defense forces, international partners, the UN Charter, and norms of international law.
The MFA noted that Crimea is an important element of European security, and full restoration of security is possible only after the liberation of all the territory of Ukraine, including the peninsula.
The Ministry expects the support of partners in bringing Russia back to respecting international law and the UN Charter, withdrawing its troops and weapons from the territory of Ukraine, restoring territorial integrity, and holding accountable for aggression against Ukraine and crimes committed on its territory.
The MFA emphasized that all efforts should be directed at achieving these goals, not satisfying the Kremlin's appetites at the expense of Ukraine's interests and international law.
Recall, the head of the Polish MFA proposed placing Crimea under a UN mandate. The Mejlis reacted to this with its position.
