New Defense Alliance: European AI Companies Begin Collaboration.

Merger of Mistral and Helsing for Defense Projects
Two of the largest European startups, Mistral and Helsing, have decided to combine their efforts in implementing artificial intelligence in defense technologies, Bloomberg reports.
The aim of the collaboration is to apply computer vision to enhance the functionality of defense systems, specifically to increase their ability to 'understand the surrounding environment, effectively communicate with operators, and make quick and reliable decisions in complex situations.'
Currently, there is no information regarding the financial terms of the collaboration and the specific military systems that the companies will be working on. However, Mistral already has its own artificial intelligence models that compete with OpenAI and Meta Platforms Inc.
The French Minister of Defense has previously stated that the French military plans to use artificial intelligence software from Mistral.
