Occupants have significantly increased the production of kamikaze drones, but Ukraine has found a way out – ISW.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report that the increase in Russian domestic production of Shahed-type drones has led to an increase in the number of drones that Russia uses for attacks on Ukraine. This dynamic is reflected in the composition of strike packages that Russia has launched against Ukraine from October to November 2024. Russian forces have increasingly launched between 80 to 100 or more Shahed drones and decoys as part of their larger strike packages.
Ukraine responds to Russian attacks through Ukrainian innovations in electronic warfare (EW). Analysts believe that the Russian Federation attacks Ukraine, including decoy drones, to weaken its air defense and detect mobile fire groups.
However, Ukraine is responding to this threat. The number of Shahed drones or decoys lost due to Ukrainian EW intervention has significantly increased in October and November 2024, reports ISW.
