The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new benefits for mobile communication users in temporarily occupied territories. From now on, subscribers in combat zones will not have their SIM cards blocked for non-payment, and during the first connection, they will receive a free service package.

According to information from 'Legal Telegram', agreements between the operator and the user must now include the specified internet speed as a mandatory clause. This initiative has become one of the components of the large-scale reform of electronic communications.

Electronic Communications Reform

The updated rules provide protection against intrusive spam mail, allowing operators to combat annoying calls. Users will also have the ability to manage services independently through a personal account, enabling better control over communication expenses.

Particular attention within the framework of the reform is paid to transparency in the provision of internet services. Agreements between operators and clients must clearly state the actual connection speed, and consumers will have the right to appeal to the National Commission for Electronic Communications or to the court in case of violations.

Summary: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new benefits for mobile communication users in temporarily occupied territories, which include preventing the blocking of SIM cards for non-payment and providing free services. Also, as part of the large-scale reform of electronic communications, new rules are being introduced for protecting against spam and improving control over internet services.
