Russian Assault on Ukraine: Missiles and Drones
On the night of March 18-19, Ukraine was attacked by Russian forces using Iskander-M missiles, S-300 missiles, and imitation drones. This was reported by the Air Forces, citing information from «Glavkom».
It is noted that the attack came from several directions: Bryansk, Orel, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk on the territory of the Russian Federation.
From initial data, it is evident that 72 Shahed-type drones and other models were shot down across Ukraine. Another 56 imitation drones were lost without negative consequences.
In the Kyiv area and over the capital, 45 enemy drones were registered. Of these, 19 were destroyed, while the others were lost or left the airspace.
The attack caused damage in the regions: Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Chernihiv. The tasks were supported by aviation, anti-aircraft missiles, activation of EW and mobile fire groups.
In addition, Russian troops launched strikes on hospitals in the Sumy region. One drone landed on the roof of a hospital, but no one was injured.
Strikes were also carried out on critical infrastructure in the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk region. Local residents report power outages in some areas.
