Polish carriers have blocked truck traffic at the border with Ukraine.

Protest of Polish carriers at the border
Polish carriers started a protest at the 'Yahodyn-Dorohusk' checkpoint at 4:00 PM. Truck traffic is restricted, as reported by Glavkom with reference to the State Border Service.
Freight transport vehicles in both directions will be allowed to pass at a rate of one vehicle per hour for entry and one for exit. Humanitarian aid will be allowed to pass without hindrance.
“As of now, the movement of freight transport vehicles in both directions through 'Yahodyn-Dorohusk' is suspended. We ask drivers to take this information into account”, the statement says.
Earlier, there was also information about possible complications in the movement of trucks through the 'Yahodyn-Dorohusk' checkpoint due to the protest action of Polish carriers.
Poles are protesting due to dissatisfaction with working conditions and incomes. They accuse their Ukrainian colleagues of lowering transportation rates and pushing them out of the market.
Protest actions of Polish farmers
Since February 9, 2024, large-scale protest actions of Polish farmers have begun near the border with Ukraine. Polish farmers protested against excessive imports of Ukrainian products to the Polish market, blocking roads and demanding regulation of the situation.
In November 2023, Polish farmers also threatened to block the entire border with Ukraine due to disagreements on trade and economic conditions.
Analysis
The protests of Polish carriers and farmers at the border with Ukraine indicate significant economic and trade issues between the countries. These protests may have serious consequences for the economies of both countries and underscore the tense situation in trade relations.
