Russians are trying to seize a foothold near Orikhiv - Southern Defense Forces.

Russian troops on the southern fronts continue to advance, forcing Ukrainian forces to retreat and move closer to Orikhiv to control important strategic points. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin.
The situation is particularly tense near Novopavlivka, where the enemy is actively attacking Ukrainian positions near Vільne Pole, Zelene Pole, and Konstantinopole.
Other attack directions
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops are also attacking, in particular, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, and Lobkove. Voloshin stated: 'The enemy is heavily storming Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, and Lobkove, trying to break through our defensive lines near Orikhiv.'
In the Huliaipole direction, fierce clashes continue, where the enemy is trying to advance towards Malynivka, using motorcycles and other light vehicles for quick movement.
'The mass use of drones by the occupiers worries us. Every fifth or fourth FPV drone is involved in the combat zone in the south,' the spokesperson emphasized.
In addition, according to Voloshin, intensive airstrikes continue, with about 100-150 missiles being fired daily.
Russian troops are intensifying their actions in the southern direction, aiming to seize strategic points near Orikhiv and trying to capture key settlements.
