Shakhtar honors the memory of fallen heroes with an emotional action.


The football club 'Shakhtar' honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian heroes before the match against 'Kryvbas'. The players took to the field wearing shirts with a poem and the call signs of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. The shirts had lines from a poem by Maksym Kryvtsov, who died on the battlefield: 'When I am asked what war is, I will answer - names...'. The ultras of 'Shakhtar', relatives of the players, and club employees wrote the call signs of the fallen heroes on their shirts.
