The holiday is approaching: what is happening to the prices of tangerines.

Prices for tangerines at the wholesale market 'Shuvar' in Lviv have decreased from 107.5 to 97.5 hryvnias per kilogram. According to the head of the marketing department of the wholesale market, Tetiana Popovych, this is due to the beginning of the harvest season in the main supplying countries, which increases the market supply.
'The decrease in tangerine prices is due to the start of the harvest season in major supplying countries, which increases the market supply,' explained Tetiana Popovych, head of the marketing department of the agricultural products wholesale market 'Shuvar' in Lviv.
Ukraine imports tangerines from countries such as Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Israel, and Pakistan.
The demand for tangerines may rise before the holiday days, which may lead to an increase in prices. However, with stable supply, prices will not rise significantly.
Among the most popular varieties of tangerines imported to Ukraine are satsumas - an early variety of tangerines with thin skin - and clementines - tangerines with a rich aroma and no seeds.
