In Chasiv Yar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine Captured the 'Elite' of Russia — What the Occupiers Are Complaining About.

Russian occupiers have been trying for over a year to break through the defenses of Chasiv Yar, but so far without success. In several encounters, the heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to capture Russian soldiers, including the 'elite' paratroopers of the 98th division from Russia.
Fighters of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel confirm this information.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine note that the 98th division of Russia was considered the elite of the army. However, from the captured soldiers, it became clear that this 'elite' bears little resemblance to its reputation.
'These are people without proper training, with infamous pasts, who were released from prisons and sent to assaults. This is simply a used human resource,' underline the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The invaders themselves admitted to the Ukrainian military that they were exhausted, demoralized, and did not understand the purpose of the war. They stated that after the first shots, their desire to fight for money or promises from the leadership disappeared — only the desire to survive remained.
The security forces urged the relatives of the captives to inform all Russians that Ukraine is not a place for 'rehabilitation'. They will not be re-educated here; they will simply be eliminated.
According to data from the Defense Intelligence of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation, in the first four months of 2025, Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine amount to at least 28% of convicts. Among the dead, there are particularly many young soldiers aged 18 to 19.
It is mentioned that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, previously announced how many occupiers were eliminated over the past six months.
