Trump's team discusses "Baltic scenario" regarding the occupied territories of Ukraine - American expert.

According to information from Ukrinform, Donald Trump's team is considering the possibility of a "Baltic scenario" for the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine by Russia. This means a ceasefire and territorial division without recognizing the annexation by Russia. The Trump administration will continue sanctions and delay Ukraine's NATO membership for 20 years. In addition, Russia will continue to pay the price for the occupation of territories through Russian assets in Western banks.
The Trump administration will not accept Putin's terms for the demilitarization of Ukraine, as it would worsen his reputation. The new team also underestimates the Ukrainian population and its influence on leaders' agreements. Trump may use Russian assets in Europe to support Ukraine, including purchasing American weapons.
Karatnytsky also noted that the influence of the traditional wing in the Republican Party has a negative attitude towards Putin. The possible appointment of Richard Grenell as Secretary of State also indicates that the Trump administration will not capitulate to Ukraine and will seek a compromise with Russia.
