In Ukraine, collection companies, credit unions, and pawnshops are closing: NBU statistics.


The number of companies in the financial services market in Ukraine has sharply decreased
According to the National Bank, the total number of non-bank financial market participants decreased in October. The number of financial companies fell from 509 to 492, non-life insurance companies decreased from 64 to 58, while the number of life insurers and insurers with special status remained unchanged. The number of pawnshops decreased from 113 to 111, the number of credit unions decreased by one, while the number of insurance brokers increased by one. The number of collection companies has decreased from 75 to 71.
The number of banking groups also decreased from 18 to 16. The number of non-bank financial groups remained unchanged at 30.
There are 16 payment systems created by residents and 14 international payment systems created by non-residents operating in the payment market.
In total, there are 18 payment institutions, 12 financial institutions, one bank - an issuer of electronic money, and one postal operator operating in the financial payment services market. In addition, 50 commercial agents and 30 technological payment service operators are active in the market.
According to the National Bank, in the first three quarters of 2024, banks earned a net profit of 118 billion hryvnias.
Recall that the National Bank forecasted gas and heating tariffs in 2025.
