Vice-Chancellor of Germany addressed refugees from Ukraine with a request.

Vice-Chancellor, Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of Germany Robert Habeck called on Ukrainian refugees living in Germany to start working, as it would be beneficial for their integration into society and the social system. Habeck warned that stopping payments and benefits for Ukrainian refugees was not well thought out. He also noted that the employment of refugees might be complicated by various factors, such as family status, illnesses, and the need to care for children. The minister also criticized the statements of the Prime Minister of the federal state of Brandenburg Dietmar Woidke, who called the payment of civil aid to Ukrainian refugees irrelevant.
Previously, Habeck stated that Germany would continue to support Ukraine in the war with Russia, regardless of the conditions. He also emphasized that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict forced many Ukrainians to seek refuge in Germany. There are also rumors spreading among the Ukrainian community about the possibility of receiving a German pension after 50 years. However, Deutsche Rentenversicherung officially debunked these myths and explained the conditions for granting pensions to Ukrainians.
