Famous writer defends 87-year-old professor accused of harassment: reaction of the network.


Ukrainian writer Yuriy Vynnychuk spoke in defense of Yosyp Lось, professor at Lviv National University named after I. Franko, who was dismissed from work due to accusations of harassment. He claims that Lось acted similarly towards many female students.
The writer also points out that some young poetesses achieved success thanks to their connections with influential members of the Writers' Union. He provides numerous examples of how members of the Union supported young female authors.
Vynnychuk's statements caused various reactions in the network. Iryna Podolyak and Iryna Tsilyk expressed their outrage. In addition, the site 'Zbruch' was accused of publishing such materials.
Social media is also actively discussing Vynnychuk's statements and expressing their discontent in the comments under Tsilyk's posts.
It is reminded that journalist Kateryna Rodak accused Yosyp Lось of harassment. She published testimonies regarding a similar case that occurred during her studies at the Faculty of Journalism of Lviv University. It was also noted that other female students experienced similar situations.
Later it became known that Yosyp Lось was suspended from work during an internal investigation.
