Meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Finland in Davos
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the President of Finland Alexander Stubbe at the forum in Davos. According to the President's Office, during the meeting they discussed steps to achieve a just peace and ensure security.
In particular, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for the sanctions against the shadow fleet, specific steps, and aid packages. The main topics of the meeting were strengthening Ukraine's defense capability, security guarantees, and increasing sanctions against Russia. NATO membership invitation is a key security guarantee.
“We will continue to support Ukraine. It is all about your independence, your sovereignty, and your territorial integrity. We admire what you are doing,” emphasized the President of Finland.
They also discussed the preparation of an aid package and Ukraine's military needs. Special attention will be paid to investments in domestic drone production and the development of defense-industrial cooperation following the Danish model. They agreed on further meetings.
