Heraskevich spoke about the problems with women in Ukrainian skeleton.

The Ukrainian skeleton lacks women who can represent the country at the highest level international competitions. Coach Vladislav Heraskevich noted that although there are young promising girls on the team, Ukraine still does not have a representative at the World Cup and the Olympic Games. He hopes that this situation will change by 2030.
Recently, Ukraine did not have a women's skeleton representative at the Olympic Games. Coach Heraskevich stated that it is currently unlikely that Ukraine will appear in this discipline at the 2026 Olympics.
The coach also expressed his opinion on the chances of Yaroslav Lavrenyuk obtaining a license for the Olympics. According to Heraskevich, the gymnast's place in the world rankings is currently insufficient for obtaining a license. He emphasized that Yaroslav needs to improve his results and speed, as well as progress in piloting, to ensure success at the Olympics.
Heraskevich also condemned the decision of gymnast Illia Kovtuniiv and his coach Iryna Horbacheva to change citizenship due to dissatisfaction with funding. He stated that athletes have received significant support from the budget and called their actions shameful.
