The liberated territory of Ukraine from Russian occupiers has increased
According to the Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since February 24, 2022, the Defense Forces have liberated approximately 8% of the total area of Ukraine from Russian occupation troops.
However, as of today, over 20% of the country's territory remains under temporary control of Russia. It has also been reported that the enemy loses an average of 780 servicemen daily.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total losses of Russia from the beginning of the war until February 25, 2025, amount to 869,530 personnel, including wounded and killed. However, information about the number of dead Russian soldiers who have been returned to Russia and the number of military equipment captured or received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is classified and cannot be disclosed.
It is also worth noting that a year ago, about 470,000 Russian servicemen were involved in the war against Ukraine.
At present, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated about 39,000 sq. km of the country's territory, while Russia has occupied 109,000 sq. km of Ukraine.
It should be noted that Ukraine is currently in the 1098th day of the full-scale war unleashed by Putin's Russia.
