Considered missing since March 2022. Let's remember Ruslan Shtokal.


Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember Ruslan Shtokal.
Senior soldier Ruslan Shtokal went missing on March 26, 2022, during a combat mission near the city of Popasnya in the Luhansk region. Only now has the family received confirmation of the identification of his body. This was reported by the Ivano-Frankivsk village council.
Ruslan Shtokal was born on October 25, 1987, in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the Domazyry school of general secondary education and obtained higher professional education at the Lviv higher professional school of transport technologies and services of the National Transport University.
Shtokal lived in the village of Kozhychi in the Lviv region and worked as an auto mechanic. He was passionate about cinematography and practiced boxing during his childhood.
He carried out combat missions within the framework of the antiterrorist operation/joint forces operation. When the Russian invasion began, he joined the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the Operational Command "West" of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The farewell to Ruslan Shtokal took place on October 28 at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and then at Market Square. He was buried in the Mars field in Lviv.
Ruslan Shtokal was survived by his father, wife, two daughters, sister, and brother.
"Glavkom" joins the minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died fighting for the Motherland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in grief during the national minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all the military, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy troops' attack on Ukrainian cities and villages.
