Zelensky outlined priorities for diplomacy - meeting with ambassadors.


The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky attended a meeting with the heads of Ukrainian embassies on Monday, July 21. During the meeting, he identified key priorities for state diplomacy, which he announced on Telegram.
'I met with the heads of Ukrainian embassies and outlined key priorities for our diplomacy', — emphasized Zelensky.
One of the main priorities is the development of the weapons sector, particularly various types of drones. The importance of seeking additional funding in embassies in this direction was also emphasized.
Another important issue discussed at the meeting was the discussion of Russian assets, strengthening sanctions and defining accountability for waging war.
The third priority was integration with the European Union and NATO, the implementation of bilateral security agreements, and cooperation with partners in special formats.
The meeting also highlighted the necessity to intensify negotiations to resolve the conflict, including regarding the return of prisoners and stolen children, and preparing for future leaders' meetings.
Zelensky also noted the importance of supporting all Ukrainians abroad and providing them with necessary assistance.
Preliminarily, the president met with the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and formulated tasks for the new Minister of Defense Denis Shmyhal.
In conclusion, the meeting with the heads of embassies became a platform for discussing key issues of Ukrainian foreign policy, from weapon development to international integration, as well as identifying ways to resolve the conflict in Donbas. It enabled the president to clarify plans and tasks for Ukrainian diplomacy in the near future.
